Why does your support matter?
NAnews began as an independent project created by people connected to both Israel and Ukraine. We want to talk about the events around us without having to adjust our editorial position to suit the interests of a political party, government institution or outside sponsor.
This position also shapes the way we choose our topics. We are particularly interested in the intersection between Israel and Ukraine — events, people and processes that often fall between the major news agendas of the two countries.
We are interested not only in the news itself. It is important to understand where information came from, what lies behind a loud headline, how events are connected and what is happening means for Israel, Ukraine and people connected to both countries.
That is why we look for primary sources, compare reports, check disputed claims and try to clearly distinguish established facts from analysis and opinion.
What do we write about?
📌 Israel and Ukraine — relations between the two countries, politics, society, economy, culture and joint projects.
📌 The war in Ukraine and Israel’s security — events, government decisions and their consequences.
📌 Israelis with Ukrainian roots — people, initiatives and stories connecting the two countries.
📌 The Jewish community of Ukraine — contemporary life, history, people and community activity.
📌 History — difficult chapters in relations between peoples and the influence of the past on the present.
📌 People — figures from Israel and Ukraine who have left their mark on our shared history.
📌 Disinformation and propaganda — checking loud claims, information operations, fake news and manipulation.
What does the support help fund?
A news project is not only about writing articles. For a story to appear on the website and reach its readers, it requires infrastructure, technical services, security, source research, fact-checking and distribution.
Reader support helps us devote more resources to:
✔ preparing articles — finding topics and primary sources, verifying information and producing analysis;
✔ running the website — servers, hosting, backups, updates and technical maintenance;
✔ security — website protection, monitoring and necessary services;
✔ multilingual editions — publishing in Russian, Ukrainian, Hebrew, French and English;
✔ distribution — promoting important publications and reaching new readers;
✔ search visibility — technical development and SEO so independent NAnews articles can be found through search engines.
This is a matter of principle for us: financial support for NAnews does not buy an editorial position and does not give anyone the right to influence the content of our publications. Support helps the project operate — editorial decisions about topics and articles remain editorial decisions.
NAnews remains open to everyone
We do not want to turn NAnews’ main publications into closed content available only after payment. The ability to open and read an article should not depend on whether a particular reader is able to support the project financially.
Patreon, PayPal, Bit, Buy Me a Coffee and USDT are voluntary ways to support NAnews, not payment for access to our publications.
And helping the project is not only about money. When you read our articles, send a link to friends, discuss a publication or tell others about NAnews, you are also helping the project grow.
